Host A Hive On Your Property

So you have been thinking for a while that you would like to have bees on your property. It is a great opportunity and your garden & surrounding gardens will love you for it. Before we deliver a bunch of happy hives to your property, there are many things that need to be taken into account.

Bees need to be away from the house and animals and children, there will be a lot of bees flying in and out of the hives and it is best if the hive is placed away from high traffic areas also. Below are a few more points of consideration you will need to go over before hosting some hives.

Land Size

Really you need to have over 4000m2 but acreage is preferable.

Neighbours

Are your neighbours okay with having bees next door to them? You will need to have a chat with them prior to us delivering any hives.

Number of Hives

Our minimum number of hives per block is 16. This makes our operation easier to keep control of and lessens our time having to drive from site to site.

Duration of Hosting

How long will our bees stay on your property for? This all depends on current weather conditions, what is in flower and what trees are flowering next.

Vehicle Access

We will need to be able to have full vehicle access to our bee location.

No Money – Only Honey

This is not something that we pay for but in return we will receive a small amount of honey as a thank you. Bees on your property are a great benefit to your garden and local ecosystem.
